Default Nylon tubing experts, i need help.

When my stereo was ripped out of my car the nylon tube for my boost gauge was wrecked in the process, im finally getting around to fixing it. I got the 1/8th inch ferrul/olive clamps to replace the old used ones and i bought some 1/8th nylon tubing from pep boys.
I took it home only to find that the tubing is TOO BIG, it won't fit in the olive and it wont fit through the hole on the tightener nut. What size do i need? I went to autozone and showed him the olive and asked the guy if they had nylon that would fit it, he came back saying that all they had was either too big or too small.....

Finding a T for this autometer boost gauge was hard enough, now i cant find proper nylon? this is pure crap. HELP!

yep... ive tried to find this tubing before also and was unsuccessful. try home depot or lowe's, they might have what you are looking for. is this for an autometer gauge? if worse comes to worse you can always contact them and im sure theyll sell you a little bit of their tubing. what you could do if you have enough tubing to connect to the back of the gauge is run about 6" of tubing, then have a rubber vacuum hose connected to this tube and run it all the way through your fire wall to your vacuum source. greddy gauges use rubber vacuum lines, so im sure you can pull this off on an autometer. also... i do not condone jerry rigging

just cut the nylon tubing and thhere attach a 1/8 vac rubber line and reconnect it at the gague, leaving like 1 inchh of tube off the gague fittinng...iitts an easy way.

just use zip ties at the connections
or,

leaving an inch of line of nylon tubing, run the vac line all theway from there into theengine bay and reconnect it to a tee.

that 1/8 n.p.t is a bitch to work with...cos it comes wrapped in a circle and desnt want to unwrap ittself.....
