if you are putting an a3 in there and just want it to run like stock then you need an A3 ecu... also known as the PND ECU

if you are looking to tune it and have $1000+ to spend, then get a 02-04 KPRO

Kpro is far superior to an a3 ecu, and EMS.

It is the top tuning tool, and can EASILY be tuned to give u max performance for ur a3.

Also, later if u go turbo it will work perfectly on setting that up.

reflash only lets the ECU be used by a car that it wasnt originally installed in. There are also some reflashes ( like on the 06 Si's drive by wire) that can increase performance, but not by as much as kpro.

y do u want ems? I already told u Kpro is the best? and ems is almost the same price.

I would do it in this order if i had to.

1)Kpro
2) Reflash, then slowly save for kpro
3)keep the d17
4) Spend the $$ on a GOOD bagel
5) get Ems.

I agree with number 4. That sounds like one heck of a good idea.
