O2 Sensor MESS UP
Hey guys I have an OBD1 Integra, and my o2 sensor had a mishap. Somehow it got cut and all the wires are disconnected. Like I know there's like a green, white, black, black, but when I try to hook them back up they are all black...do you get it? Is there a website or somehow I can find out which wire goes to which?
you need to replace the entire sensor
the o2 sensor only sends a .1 to .9 volt signal (if i remember right, but it is very low voltage), so if you splice and solder the wires back together then it will have a power drop at that point and will send an incorrect signal to the ecu causing
the ecu to recieve false information and incorrectly adjust the fuel map

what if he buys a universal sensor, wouldn't he have to splice and solder it too? i bought a universal and just splice/solder and everything was fine

replace the o2 sensor if the wires between that and the plug have been cut
if the wire harness has been cut then there is no other option but to splice and solder it back together
