Default OT: Please drive safe

2:13AM Monday January 15th, on my way home - half a mile from my driveway I hit standing water, the car hydroplanes and jerks to the left, hard enough to enter a spin... Going backwards/sideways uphill, flipping over into a ditch.

They found my rear plate up in a tree hundreds of feet from the car, I don't remember how many times it rolled. Please be careful, the weather is all screwed up and it doesn't feel like winter... I'm really happy to be alive not to mention excited to wake up every day, I shouldn't be here typing this... I walked away with one cut. The car saved my life.

This is the last photo taken of the car on Sunday:

And my favorite:

I learned the hard way - your ENTIRE LIFE could change in a matter of seconds, please drive safe out there!

Driving to work 2 days ago a lady drives by me at 80 mph or so and I was scared to do 65 in the weather conditions. She ran next to me on my right as she passed she spun and rolled the Aztec she was driving several times trapping her in the car. I had to pull her from the car while she was pinned against the wheel upside down. She was ok but screaming like she was on fire. I was ok until I started to drive away. I am thankful she is ok, and getting to work for her will never be a gamble with her life again I hope. I think people just dont take in account how quick and easy an accident can happen. Pulling people out of cars on the way to owrk isnt fun I will always think of it now when I drive in any kind of weather.

Keep yours wheels down, glad your still here as a fellow evo lover

Wow, glad that your ok!

This really hits home as i had a similar accident 2+ years ago in a 03 WW evo. Rolled several times and came out without a scratch. Mine was more of me driving like a jackass than the weather but it has done a 180 on my driving style and my life really. Can never really take anything for granted after walking away from something like that. Really makes you sit back and enjoy the chance to be alive and breathing.

I don't recall the speed but I was definitely going too fast for the conditions. The tires were in need of replacement and I had already purchased blizzacks for the winter that I was picking up this weekend (not anymore of course).

I'm A-OK

The car served it's greatest purpose

Absolutely, I never thought it would happen to me.

Glad you are alright. Sad to see that in life, we sometimes need these wake up calls to open our eyes.

Glad you're ok man! That's a pretty rough wreck, you're VERY lucky to be alive, I think you know that though. It's good you appreciate it.

This weather is pretty crazy, I've been staying off the road as much as I can lately.

Again... glad you are ok bro. Material possesions are the furthest thing from your mind when you come to a stop after having been in an accident like this. You truely are given a complete perspective on things that most can't understand unless they have experienced something as such. I am glad you are ok bro

As he stated.... the weather is very skrewed up right now, and very hard to anticipate with suck fluctuation all the time. Be safe out there this winter/weird *** season guys!

October 05:
Hydro-planed

I hydro-planed and spun out on the highway. I hit the woods sideways at 50-60 mph. I still think about it every single time I drive in the rain.
