I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if anyone knew if I could use a 79mm head gasket on a stock bore without an issue

if you havent ordered one yet find a place that has the correct one. Majestic honda is a good start. If you need a gasket for boost oem MLS is perfect.

First off, don't bump ancient threads. No one likes it when people do that.

Second off, 79mm? Are you ******* high? If you're rebuilding and had your block honed, you should use 75.5, maybe 76. If you didn't, and you're just replacing it, you should use 75. 79...that won't seal for ****.
