oil and coolant question....
So I was checking the oil in the car and it was right on the first dot from the bottom of the dipstick and was wondering if that was normal or should I add more oil.
Also the coolant level was below minimum and was wondering if it was ok to use any other coolant than the acura because I dont have access to the acura at the moment.

The upper dot is the "full" level. The lower dot is the minimum level that is still safe to drive with. Typically a one quart difference between the two dots. You can add a quart if you want, or just change the oil if you are nearing your change interval.
If the coolant is just a little low, you can top off the level with plain distilled water. In your climate, the extra water won't have any negative effects.

It depends on when you are checking it, start the engine and let it warm to operating temp, then wait a minute and check the oil. try to keep the oil closer to the top dot on the dipstick. The reserve coolant tank you should top off with pure coolant or buy a 50/50 mix, any brand, but if you have access to a honda dealer then use theirs. Dont worry about the level being near the Min line, just if the tank is empty and the radiator is low, the radiator is the cruicial one to check.
