Quick question, why do you want a hi-flow cat?

Probably because the stock cat is one of the biggest bottlenecks in a Honda exhaust system.

Agreed, but I see a lot of people thinking putting a hi-flow on a stock motor is somehow a fantastic idea.

True, there are better ways to spend the money, assuming the rest is all stock. However, at least he isn't asking about a test pipe.

That's just a chunky-looking testpipe.

Carsound is far better than a test pipe but if you've got stringent emissions to deal with then you should get something better and expect to drop some bank on it. If not than carsound is great for the money...

Stay away from Carsound. They are too expensive for the trash that they are.

This is mine after 10k miles. Most of its life was in the box in my garage.

What came flying out of my muffler:

This happened in 2005. Check the date it was made. It started to fall apart in 04 when one of the "bricks" inside fell apart and was sounding like a rock in my motor. As you can see, no scrapes on it.

Go with the 9350x series from carsound if you are gong to chose carsound for the cat. The 94000 series had ealry brick failures, as you already know; the 93000 series are much less prone to brick failure.

At least you can proudly say you are contributing to the smog issues, that are so rampant in California. All for damn near zero performance gains.

Add another thumbs down to the sig.
