b18c, my first build
This is my first build. I've lots of cars, but this is the first one that I am doing most everything myself. I had a 96 gsr with a jdm motor with basic bolt ons until one night at the track. One pass down the track and I heard the bang and rattle.

I completely demolished my valve and it went bouncing around inside the motor.
The good thing was that it meant it was time to rebuild with some fun parts.
So, the shopping began and the purchases started:
JDM P30 pistons (.25 over bore)
Omni Power titanium retainers, dual valve springs, and flat face vavles
Skunk2 Stage2 Cams
ARP head studs and rod bolts
Hasport Mounts
CTR crank pulley
Spoon Headgasket (2 layer)
IL4 bronze vavle guides
all new rings, gaskets, etc.... all oem
Next was the repair of my block and head. For this I give big props to Jeff and Billy at C.W. Pence Rebuilders and Machine Shop in Maitland, Fl. They did a hell of a job.

They did a great job fixing my mangled motor and assembled the short block for me. Also, while there, i had them port and polish the head and intake manifold. As well as, mill the head, deck the block, shot peen the rods, micro polish the crank, and they took care of my vavle adjustment. All i had to do then was assemble the long block and shove it in the car.

Now it's in and running again, which makes me very happy. I'm am almost done breaking it in and will be hitting the dyno in about two weeks for tuning. It will be tuned with crome by John Vega at Phearable.net. I'll be sure to post dyno sheets when it's done.
My next plans include 98 bumper conversion (front and back), some type r skirts (all around), and some new shoes (rota circuit 10s in bronze).
This is just for all those that are having problems with their own projects.
Always remember, from the ashes of the old comes the opportunity for something bigger and better.
I also posted in integra forum.
