** EBAY SCAMMER S2000 S/C**
Please be advised that there is someone selling "comptech" or "vortech" superchargers on ebay... not willing to use paypal... willing to end auction early to highest bidder... sending people to a non-ebay website to try and snag your login information... currently the user is daallstar... before it was bwillie76... then crucible66.. the comptech supercharger has been ended early but this is about the third S2000 supercharger this guy has posted. I am just warning people cause I would hate to see someone fall victim of this... Other items include engine swap and other honda parts... please make sure you are doing all online transactions safely and take my words into consideration
Thanks
Thanks
same jerk tried to scam me but failed too. He gives a story that someone offered him around 1200 but it fell through and he gives a phone number for you to call. When you call him he states that he is in the Airforce which gives him excuses that he makes up. He will not use paypal nor go through an escrow service.
Yes, Air force.. cannot leave more than 5 miles from base, will not use paypal, "over drafted too much" The reason there is more than 1 similar item is cause one's his room mate... then he constantly forgets what car the kit is for on the phone... Sets up a "buy it now auction" and sends you a link via email... the link is a website hosted on geocities or another free web hosting service... asks for your login information... NEVER put it in unless the URL you are at... IN YOUR BROWSER is a legit ebay.com server...
I want people to know about this because it bothers me that I still see his auctions and still see people bidding and I hope they are not faling for it...

another thing he says about the money transfer is that if you send the money to a family member, he will ship it out. once you show proof that the money is transfered he ships then when you receive the product you transfer money from family member to him. way toooo fishy.

yeah same exact site and file on geocities he sent to me, but he had a different username on yahoo at the time... I am more worried that other people are sending money or thier login information on the site he sends out... I am not mentioning any of the way's I have been tracking him just in case he finds this thread and changes how he has been doing things. I have been in contact with ebay and geocities many times trying to put an end to it..
He TRIED scamming the wrong guy
I just want to let everyone know about this guy cause I REALLY want to supercharge my s2000 and was all excited for a few days untill i unfoiled all this
Still got my money, still got my car, so no loss for me, now I am just trying to warn everyone so they do not fall for it...
Glad this thread is letting everyone know

yeah I know how you feel I was watching the auction thinking he was a legit bidder with his 72 feedback but obviously this just proves feedback means nothing.
I ran into that scammer on ebay more than 6 months ago!!! Same story and luckily I said fu*k this guy, the scenario was too fishy!!!
Anybody got the number??? I can look it up and see who it belongs to.

I know one of them was 843 271 5055 it was a cell phone but the next time he put stuff up he put a different phone number up... the phone numbers came back as south carolina but the auctions stated, as well as the person on the phone, that they were in florida... once in orlando and another time in homestead/ key largo air force base
I believe he has relisted another auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem
same format, low price, phone number, featured auction for a low sale price, same as all the other auctions that he tried scamming before... suspicious in my mind... other auctions do not accept paypal... could be wrong but I would be carefull
these pictures are from another auction too... a real auction.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...d=1,1
another strange thing is that the highest bidder is also the seller of another s/c setup http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

Confirmed... he sent me a link to a geocities website asking for my user id and pw as if it were ebay... please stay away from this seller.. runnin_wit_tha_ak47 or the email address runwitdaakk47@aol.com <runwitdaakk47@aol.com> this is a scammer without a doubt..
good post, it sucks that people use ebay like this. I sell on ebay all the time and it gives a bad name for sellers. Some tips for you guys.
Check the user rating, definitely important. Make sure they accept paypal and dont go outside of ebay to make the transaction. If its too good to be true, it probably is.

the one guy has like 62 feedback so this isn't really accurate except for the paypal deal.

You're correct about that with the feedback... the thing is I believe this guy is getting other people's accounts by sending them to links that are outside of ebay asking for username/passwords (like he has tried to me a couple times) At least if you use paypal you are covered through ebay for most of the transaction. I definately would do your research before purchasing off of ebay.
I would definately not do anything outside of ebay/paypal... also verify maybe with more photos from the seller. There's also escrow services available. I will keep this post updated if there's any other suspicious s2000 related items.
The main thing that sucks was the first time I came across this I was so happy to have a chance at a cheap supercharger kit I've been dying to ger... that dream left a while back, still saving for a brand new one from a respected seller...
Also one last note of advise... whether a link is sent in an email and SAYS "http://www.ebay.com" in the link... right click the link and goto properties and make sure it is not really sending you to somewhere like "http://www.geocities.com" or anywhere else than ebay... NEVER enter your login information off of the ebay site.
also.. if something seems too good to be true.. it probably is
Thanks guys for making sure people are aware of this guy and the other dangers of buying these high ticket items online.
