on a 99' civic DX witch is the best coils for a smooth ride!!!
I just bought a 99 civic 2d and I want to drop it but i still want a comfortable ride......what would you suggest......and on a budget!!!
whats your budget? i'd go with ground control coilovers for the height adjustablity and kyb adj shocks/illumina adj shocks/koni yellows. if you want a really nice ride get springs (h&r sports/ tein s-techs) and pair them with the shocks i mentioned...

I agree.
If you're looking for "true" coilovers, anything under $600 bucks is probably a piece of ****. And by "true" coils, I don't mean that Skunk2 garbage.

well you wont be getting a nice ride then bro with only $200...haha but what you can do is get some new/used springs and run your stock shocks for a while. Remember after the drop you'll need a alignment and thats gonna run you $60-$90. The ride quality will be okay but not the best...
