How many of you have Blown your B series engine?
Options for you poll are not that good.
Minor trouble with mine, but it did leave me stranded and a major part had to be replaced,,, Under warranty.
How about "failed motor, easy fix" on that poll?

Hehehe, I knew this was fodder for a bad joke as soon as I saw the title.
Did you name it "chunks?"

Some how the timing belt was too loose. Drove from my driveway to the end of the block and the car shut off. Tried to start... it didn't. Long story short, it jumped timing, dropped a valve, busted about 5 holes in the #4 piston, bent the rod, scratched the cylinder wall and tore up the head. Besides that, everything was peachy.

Had a blownout valve, which made the car run terribly. It did not leave me stranded though.

Mis-shifted (Money shift) at my first HPDE. At least I did it while having fun. Bent some valves, broke 1 valve guide which ended up trapped in the catalytic converter for 2 years (I was blaming the rattle on the cat). Rebuilt the head, replaced all exhaust valves and 2 intake valves and was back on the road, running like a champ. I've driven about 55,000 miles since then.

I blew 1 b20vtec. I put it together very cheaply. Stock bottom end B20Z, Stock B16 head, ITR intake manifold, CTR cams, stock valvesprings, JDM ITR header, CAI. Stock injectors, p28 with a skunk2 chip
stock fuel pump and regulator. NOT TUNED. Spun the Rod Bearing at the track and said fawk it I am going to just drive it home like that who cares. 1 hour drive to get home and 40 mins later gets really loud and BAMMMMMMM rod comes out the block on the freeway going downhill at like 80 mph
It was a fun night.
