every five seconds after i turn off my engine i hear this tap noise for a while or click like somethings breaking..its happen for a while but is this normal...also when im at a steady stop for a while it does it too...but not quite as often as to having me turn the engine off.can someone help explain.

 

How is your car running? Is your engine temp normal? Maybe it's a fan or something. It could turn on when your stopped for a long time to cool it off, and stay on after your car is off for awhile. I wouldn't *think* it's engine or tranny related if it continues after the car is off. Gotta be something electrical. You said it's coming from the engine bay? You sure it's not the dash or something?

 

Could be either the rad fan or the AC fan still spinning and rubbing on something...my Lumina does that.

 

the fans not on..but its pretty loud like metal taping metal...the temps good...also my car runs very well normal also
