They make cheap stuff, that has always seemed pretty mediocre to crappy to me. I've never seen that brace before, but based on their other merchandise, I'd stay away from it.

I've used Megan products before. Only cheaper, put-around cars. None of their products would find their way onto my Type-R.

But if you put their products head-to-head with other products of the same price, they'd stack up pretty good.

But for a Type-R... Nah, I wouldn't put any of their products on mine.

Thats a good price. I understand the prestige of an ITR, so I would probably stick to the best also. Merely for the "gucci" factor.

On another note, something like a Brace is kind of hard to screw up. Especially if it's a replica of more expensive parts. Don't get me wrong, you would never find "megan racing" suspension, or exhaust setups on my GSR. But for $60, I say give it a try. You can always sell if your not pleased.

^ You don't buy JUN III cams, or an SMS-P header, or a pair of Jenvy ITBs, just for the "gucci" factor... You buy those types of products, for the "quality" factor.

At the least, it'll protect your header a bit, haha.

Not sure if you care, but it will bump you out of stock and into DSP if you are running R-comps (STX if you are on street tires).

Understood completely, and agreed. I was speaking along the lines of a brace, or strut tower bar. I would only go for top quality in this area too, but for $60 why not try it out.

I have been using megan rear lower lca's on my integra for 4 months and they are fine. No cracks, bushings still solid, and they look good and are light. Their products really aren't that bad as long as you stay away from their motor parts.

Well, stock rear LCAs are light too.

I have to be honest here... I had their lcas on my 2000 ek and it was fine, but i'll never put em on my R... Just my opinion. I wouldn't want to be the one to come on this forum explaining the damage done from cheap, unproven products. I've had too much bad luck recently anyway... lol.

Some things I can understand using, like stationary braces and stuff, but I would never use things like OBX LSDs...I read about a dude that bought one for his AE86, and it was made wrong...he had to get part of it machined to make it fit. WTF

Good one!!!!

i will still be in the STX class, with the WRX guys. Anything helps. I understand about the Megan products that are suspension and crap like that, but this just a brace.

Really? You guys don't have STX & STU (street tire x-tream/unlimited) down there in Wilmington?

BTW, did you guys get snow? We got a little here in Raleigh.

What are you looking to accomplish with that brace? I have my doubts as to if it will do anything even minorly significant.

Honestly, why not just save the $60 instead of throwing it into a part made by a company who has only a modest reputation, at best. And your putting it onto an already stout chassis. I think the only thing you'll accomplish is adding more weight to the front of the car---exactly where you don't need it.

Guess not, haha. First thing I was told when I entered H-Stock, was the best modification I could do, while still staying in HS, was to get some R-Compounds. Hmmm, I guess our rules are different?

Ha... Ha. Ha... Don't be funny.

Right now, it's 35degrees and RAINING LIKE A MOTHER F*CKER AND I'M OUT DELIVERING IN THIS ****... God this town's so weird, haha.

I think it's supposed to get into the 20s tonight. So the roads should get nice and icey. That, plus the horrible drivers that inhabit Wilmington, constitutes me sitting on my *** at the Market Street/Eastwood Intersection in my nice warm delivery van with some hot chocolate at 5:00pm, watching people destroy their cars.

I read a write up someone did a little while ago where they installed strut tower bars,ASR subframe brace and CTR 22mm rear sway and an NRG H-Brace..one at a time.He said the H brace performed very well and it somehow reduced wheel hop a lot.

I have that brace (in blue), but never got around to installing it... maybe I will one of these days... but it's pretty damn light - so the weight argument is pretty much nill.
