Default Phoenix gold zx600ti & 2 jl 12w6 dvc 6-ohm subs

This may be a dumb question, with a simple answer... but here goes:

I am attempting to wire these subs to this amp. all of the info that i have found online for the amp talks about either a 4-ohm bridged, 4-ohm stereo, or 2-ohm stereo. all the info that i have found on the jl subs talk about 6-ohm, and 1.5-ohm.

im confused on how to wire these together, if i should go with a bridged or a stereo setup... which way would be the correct way to hook these up?
any help would be greatly appreciated

If the jl's are dual 6 ohm voicecoils, wire each sub for 12 ohms. Use series wiring, I think there is a tutorial on jl's website... http://www.jlaudio.com , also one on http://www.rockfordfosgate.com .

Wire each sub for 12 ohms, then parrallel the two subs together for a 6 ohm load.

Your amp will not produce as much power at 6 ohms as 4. You will be able to run it mono to the subs though.

You could also run the amplifier stereo, and wire the voicecoils of each sub in parrallel. This will present your amp with a 3 ohm stereo load. Not as much power as 2 ohm stereo, but more than 4 ohm stereo.

Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Here is a link.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

You can see how to wire each individual woofer fo a 3 or 12 ohm load. Then you simply have to either wire one per channel( in the 3 ohm setup ), or just simply wire the two woofers together in parrallel ( for the 6 ohm mono ).

The simplest would be 3 ohm stereo. It will be :
R+-------vc1+-------vc2+

r-.--------vc1-.-------vc2-
Then simply wire one woofer to the left channel the same way.

It will probably give you about the same output as 6 ohm mono, but with simplified wiring.
