i have a mini-me in my civic but i have a problem, the car will run fine and start up fine but once i drive it for a while it begins to idel weird it will rev to like 2500 then down to 1000 it will do this forever if i let it, but the weird thing is that when it does this it gets a cel and it throws a code 1, ive changed the o2 and it still does this, oh and when it does this it runs like its really lean, it smells like it atleast and if i shut the car off and try and restart it it wont i have to click the key on and off ( the position were it turns the fuel pump on and then off position) a few times and it wil fire up, im thinking ive either got a weak fuel pump or a cloged fuel filter, but it drives me crazy. any help is appreciated.

sounds like the idle air control valve. remove it and spray some carb cleaner on it see if this helps the problem.

what kind of o2 sensor did you get ? did you reset the ecu after you replaced it?

 

yea i got a 2 wire one(stock type) and i rest the ecu, i mean the car runs great pulls strong but when i let it sit and idle after driving it dies the idle bounce up and down and the a cel and a cdl 1 ill check the iac and see what tat does. thnaks
