front end popping please help
some times when i downshift into high rpms or take off hard the front end of my car will pop. I think its my axles but im not sure. It has a d16z6 swap and im wondering which generation axles to put in it i was told ef style again. also could it be something else and how long or hard is it to replace these. Thanx in advance.
ps it will also click when turning hard.

its a five speed tranny out of a eg ex model where are the radius rod bushings located and would i b able to tell just by looking at them. Also how hard is it to replace the motor mounts.
The radius rod bushings are inside the front crossmember. You gotta pull the rod out of the Xmember to see 'em, as far as I know. Two bolts on the lower A-arm, the one big nut in the Xmember hole, and it slides out to the rear. Do the big nut first, that way the two bolts on the A-arm hold it still while you loosen the nut. The nut was a pain; it's in the hole too deep for most of my wrenches and the end of the rod sticks out too far for most of my sockets!!
The motor mounts are relatively easy to replace--IF you can get access to the bolts. The front one can be a real bear, if I recall correctly. The rear was OK for me, just pull the intake hose so you've got access. Oh, I used a "wobble extension" so I didn't have the sockets at funny angles while removing that rear one. Access to the side ones is tight but not as bad as the front, I think.

ya its either going to be rear or front engine mount. some how these engines create enough toruqe to mess up the mounts hhaha.
If you rev your car in neutral you will not be able to tell if its the motor mounts as the transmission isnt applying any torque to the ground to twist the engine back.
