is low 15's in an auto possible?
I'm trying to find a car for my wife. She knows how to drive 5speed but wants something automatic. She's gonna be doing some occasional bracket racing at the drag strip so the auto will really help her. Looking for FWD or AWD no Mitsu's as the electronics suck on those. I know honda auto tranny's aren't very strong but will say maybe a Automatic CRVTEC setup reving only to stock like redline and only minor boltons. Do you think the tranny would hold up? It's already used to the CRV torque so it would only be getting a little extra to that. And is that enough to push a Civic or Integra to low 15's? Thanks for the help.
Or if there are any other car options that people are partial to let me hear them too as I'm also considering like a 96 Celica with either a 165HP supercharged 1.6 4A-GZE or a 160HP 2.0 3S-GE but having problems finding a automatic from a FWD that came with the supercharged cars and don't know it the 160HP NA 2.0 would be good enough in a chubby celica.
