instrument cluster swap question *searched*
Ok let me start off by saying i've searched, but this question wasn't answered in anything that came up.
I have a 91dx hatchback and I wanted the SI cluster. Went to 3 different scrapyards and couldn't find a single crx or civic si. I didn't wanna go home empty handed so I figured I'd try the EX sedan cluster(10 bucks, who cares if it doesn't work). So I plugged it up, fit perfectly and worked. The thing is I'm not sure if the readings are accurate. I just got the car, so I still have the d15b2, and dx tranny in it. The previous owner had a giant autometer tach in it so that's why I wanted the new cluster. Getting off topic, but anyway... before it read around 3750 rpms at 80mph in 5th gear. On the new ex cluster tach it says about 3100rpms at 80mph. Does anyone know which is more likely to be accurate? Thanks
