gas pedal sticks
Why does my gas pedal stick? It always sticks when I first put my foot on the pedal after turning it on, it doesnt want to move unless I stomp and make a lot of noise!. after that its ok but not totally smooth. When I am driving longer than an hr it starts to stick again when I am at a stop and push the pedal. any ideas?
clean your throttle body.
i found a .pdf (i think from honda) on this subject, but i'm not sure where it is now.
same thing happens to me (only once every morning), but i've yet to do anything about it.

yeah i got a 2000 EX-L sedan(F23), and my pedal used to stick, a LOT, do you know where the recall is at so i can go get me a free throttle body too, even thoguh i already fixed the prob i just attacked it with some wd40, what i wanted to do was get some cable grease (comes in a can and they use it on motorcyles and bikes for the clutch/brakes) for the throttle cables, but it works ok, its not silky smooth like the pedal in my moms trailblazer though, but its drive-by-wire so...good luck finding thr cable grease id just visit a harley davidson store and ask for the stuff

Here ya go; very simple to do. Honda is NOT going to hand out new throttle bodies.
Use someone elses toothbrush; but NEVER a wire brush.

thanks for being honest.
1)you have to call your dealer to see if your car is effected by the recall
2)honda-care is pretty picking about helping you out, most of the time they will find a way to blame the broken part on you. that's esp true for the tuner crowd since they put non-oem stuff into their little honda and that's exactly what honda will use to void warranty even when the alternation have nothing to do with the problem(ie: aftermarket radio and broken transmission or aftermarket wheels and headgasket)

well, if the sticking is going to cause any damage i don't think i'll bother with the dealer.
but i was thinking of getting a cai off ebay, so when i install it i might do the toothbrush method.
do i have to worry about leaving the cleaner (b12 chemtool) in the intake and it getting in the engine?
