I don't believe that is a shift light...I think that is an economy light which tells you whether or not you too giving too much throttle...

When i had my hf i was getting around 53mpg and the Hf has a 10gallon gas tank

Yes, because when i was shifting i was like "oh damn this is a true race car now"
but then floored the gas and the light turned off until i let off the gas a little bit, at that certain point.

Then i was attempting to make it come on by slowly pressing on the gas and then i got to that point and bam!! it came on =P

Hard to explain lolz.. but yea

Hf FTW!!!

That's a shift light, Saturns have them too. It is just based on TPS (throttle positions sensor) and RPM I believe. Here is a great site for basic CRX specs: http://www.crxsi.com/specs.htm

Well if it's based on TPS then i don't think Rpms matter?

build and lsvtec or d series turbo or something beside a b16. its an ok motor. you can probably put something together for cheaper that will outperform the b16

It's an OK motor?? Lolz.. ok..

There is no way you can build a reliable lsvtec cheaper than you will get a b16 for..

No, but you can do a turbo D that'll slaughter a B16 for half the price...

Yeah, it is an ok motor. ANything that will propell a ef into mid 14's in an ok motor.

****, my single cam zc (bone stock) pulled a 14.8. why would I spend a shitload more money to go .3-.5 sec's faster? no torque is no torque, whether it's d or b.

you know you're right. scratch the cheaper part. my mistake. the b16 is a good motor but a bit more money you can build something reliable and make more power.

i guess im just not really happy with the 1.6 and im just venting. sorry guys.

thats why im going with a 2 liter.

now would a hf tranny bolt up to axles from an si? since the hf axles are smaller? i wouldnt mind doing this to increase fuel economy, or you can always go with a dx tranny as noted above.

After replacing the transmission in my 49 state HF with a California HF trans my shift light still lights up in 5th gear, but flickers intermittently.

Any thoughts?

Yeah the hf axles fit fine into the si tranny..all the axles are the same on the tranny side, its the hub side that's different between the hf/std and the rest.
