They are too big for the housing that bolts into the rear deck.
I have tried 2 pairs. I just set them into the housing and screwed the grill back on top, but then they are rattling.

They are still too big. They stick up 3/4 to 1 inch. If they would get flush, then new holes would be no problem.
I tried a 3rd pair of 6.5s last night and they are too big too.

5.25 is what fit. I borrowed a pair and they worked, so I went and got another pair. Everything says 6.5s so I have no idea why mine are 5.25s.
