Default Thermal wrap...?

How much cooler is my under hood temp going to be if I wrap my header? Will my incoming air be affected much if I use it on my intake? I know that this summer is going to be hot as hell and I don't want my cars performance to suffer. Thanks a lot.

you don't need to wrap your intake, the speed at which air is in the intake is so short it wouldn't affect it much. Plus with the intake you want to let the hot air in there leave and the wrap would just keep it in

I personally couldnt tell the difference in temperature when I wraped my header. I didnt measure the temperature before and after so I really dont know if it drop the engine bay temperature. All I know is this: the heat in the engine bay felt the same as before, and the wrap smoked like hell for awhile which also made my car smell weird. Just my thoughts about it.

the wrap makes your engine look more intimidating, hehe. i just wrapped my downpipe, wrapping your manifold if you are turbo can actually increase your chances in cracking it. wrapping the dp helps out bc it wont let as much heat out near your oil pan.
