Default prelude leaking oil need help

my buddy has a h22 lude and it started leaking oil. he took it into a jiffy lube type place and they said that sometimes the seal by the oil filter goes bad and needs to be replaced. is there such a seal and does it ever go bad?

Yes, it goes bad on almost every Prelude after a certain amount of time. It's called an oil cooler o-ring, and it goes behind the piece the the oil filter screws onto. You need a 30mm socket to access it.

Mine cracked one day when I started my car in the cold and I lost a quart of oil in about 30 seconds.
