Default LS VTEC how reliable can be????

I been reading about the short and long rod ratio like i see the long r/r supposed to have less wear than the short r/r the ls vtec have a short r/r so i just want to know for yours personal experience how reliable they can be!!!!! thanks

R/S ratio is over hyped as an issue on street builds.... Also saying perfect and R/S is bad and wrong it depends on a ton.

The rods are weaker stock to stock in the LS no debate there, i got mine shot peend and polished for next to nothing and ARP rod bolts, the rod bolts being the main key for the rods life.

I think the users name is bam bam, but he has a great write up for how to make an lsvtec that will last.

13.1 comp will not be very reliable.

12.0=pump gas
13.0=race gas

make your choice on your daily driver
