Default Oil leak from oil pan drain plug

Hi, I need some help with my 1992 Civic CX hatchback stock motor. I have an oil leak in the oil drain plug. I already went to the dealership and bought a new washer and drain plug, but it still leaks oil? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

probbaly the threads are stripped and not sealing properly are you sure its the drain plug and not hte oil pan seal.

only alternative is to clean the thread and check and or get a new pan

Before having to jump to a new pan, you could use a tap and die set to create new threads.

Thank you for your responses. I think it will be easier to just replace it the oil pan, then trying to solve that leak.

if you dont want to replace your pan you can have a thread insert put in.

Only problem is finding someone with that kit to do the repair. You could buy the kit if you plan on repairing other peoples stripped threads. The money you make from repairing oil pans could pay for the kit.
