i just added some coolant to my reserve tank for my radiator. i didnt notice until after i had filled the reserve tank that there was a min/max fill level. if i have gone way beyond the maximum fill level in the reserve tank..is that going to be a problem? should i keep from driving my car until i syphon some out? prompt help would be swell.

It'll be fine. The overflow tank has a little hole in case it overflows itself.

And hopefully, you can pull the reserve tank out...that way all you have to do is tip it over instead of syphoning it.
