power wise, no gain if you plan to keep the stock ecu. As a replacement for a blown motor it would be good

the d15b vtec is way better than the Dual Point that comes stock. a. d15b vtec is Multi Port. b/ probably look at an extra 20 hp or so couple ft lbs of tq. If you get everything and do it right I don't see why it wouldn't be worth it. As long as you did it RIGHT. Conversion harnesses, etc

he'd be better off just doing a mini-me,and run turboedit 1-wire vtec with d15b vtec fuel and timing maps,,same **** and cheap, all he would have to do is find an obd0 mpfi distributor...

you dont really gain 20hp either..mpfi d15b2 or a d15b vtec or d15b2 mini-me you're looking at around 100 whp on all with the proper ecu,,and 15 second 1/4 miles with all,,so i dont see how its worth it to do it right meaing conversion harnesses,obd1 ecu and all that..but maybe he doesnt care about performance and is getting the motor dirt cheap as a replacement, not really sure what he wants.

Ecu, distributor, etc. All you need after that is an obd1 conversion harness since the p08 ecu uses a 1 wire 02 sensor anyway. Then you have the turn key reliability of a stock motor.
