Look to pay 6K - 8K after parts and labor.

So, by "reading up" you mean you looked at one thread in appearance/cosmetic and decided you wanted it? Dude: every single thread about a K20A2 swap talks about the price and how difficult it is to come in under $6000.

Time to do some more reading and a lot less dreaming

The words "I want a K20" and "Money is a problem" should never be uttered in the same sentence. You want a K20 that badly, then finance a used RSX.

If you don't have a decent amount of money, I don't see it happening my friend. People have gotten away with great deals parting together a K24/K20 frankenstein, but its still not dirt cheap. Custom header and Kpro alone are quite expensive.

The engine isn't really the costly part: it's the mounts and the harness and the header and the Kpro and the axles and the PS pulley and, and, and...

You can get a K24 from most local scrapyards for $1000. I know because I've bought them before with wiring harnesses and everything intact - minus the transmission. The issue arises when you realize it's going to take a shitload of scratch to get the engine into your EG.

Actually by "reading up" i meant lookin on other sites about different motors and reading more or less how to DO the swap...not prices...and about the motor and wat parts are better on it
