Default Battery not being re-charged??? help!

To make a long story short....

I have a 94 Honda Civic EX and I was having problems with the battery being charged, I figured my alternator died. I put a brand new battery and alternator in. The car is purely running off the battery and the battery is not being charged. Advanced Auto tested it and the computer ran *no charge* from alternator so I took it out and they tested it and it is producing a charge. I checked the wires, fuses, and connections and everything is fine.

So I guess my question is... if the battery, alternator, fuses, wires, and connections are fine, why is my battery not recharging?!?!?!!?!?!?

another bad alternator? have you done modifications to the wiring in any way? gone through huge amounts of water? check the main connnections at the alt again. replace your battery if its already died too.

If by "checked the wires" you mean you looked at them and none of them were hanging out of the clip, that's not checking anything. Get a multimeter and check continuity from the alternator to the wiring harness on all the wires coming out of the clip. The huge positive wire should be easy to troubleshoot.

Check the connection at the starter and the fuse box, check the grounds all over the engine bay and make sure the battery terminals are good. By "good" I don't mean simply touching the battery. Test those with a multimeter as well.

i did take a multi meter them and they all have voltage and current.

i did see that my car has an "alternator regulator" i think this MIGHT be the problem...

i've got the same problem in a 97 civic dx. can't figure it out. not the battery or the alternator though. i thought the regulators in these cars were internal.

if for changed the harness on your car or swap recently, im more than sure that the 2 wire going to the Fuse box are NOT on right...im talking about the fuse box by the battery...make sure those screws are tight because if they're not, the alternator will NOT charge the battery...this happened to me a few months ago...check those wires...
