i think my engine just gave up on me and now i have to look for another engine but i dont know what do to put in it next i wanted a b16 but im kinda tight on the money right now so what i wanted to ask from all d series engines which one would be good on performance i already now what a d16a6 can do but wat about the others

Its your choice. Do you want 92, 108 or 127 horsepower?

Get either a Z6 or a Y8. Both motors have good aftermarket support, so when you do have funds for more parts/power, you will at least have a good platform to work off of.

But then there's an OBD1 conversion. I also say SOHC or DOHC ZC. No (major) wiring changes and you can use a lot of your parts from the D16A6 (esp. if you go with a SOHC).

Dont get a Y8 unless you want to go though the same thing again, they are know for their shitty oil pumps.

i remember some guy at a junkyard had one it look the same with vtec on valve cover he wanted 450 though is that alot and would it swap right in i mean can i use my tranny and clutch that i have on my car right now cause the clutch is a new stage 1

im going to have to get a new engine but i dont know if i should get the d15b vtec or the same d16a6 but i really wanto look into the d15b vtec but wat if its slower than the a6 with just bolt-ons i need opinions before i get one of them

sell your old trans and d series parts and buy b series mounts and linkage, then with the money you spend on a y8 or z6 buy a b18a swap from a donor integra then later but a vtec head on it and forget having no torque with d series
