i thought we had answered your question already on this subject for you???
if you want to know if the wheel will work then you are going to have to do some leg work... take a tape measure and measure 6.15 inches from your hub to your suspension.. if nothing hits then you are ok.... now take the tape measure and measure 2.85 inches from the hub to your fender... if it doesn't hit the fender the you should be ok all the way around..........

one thing, i also want to make sure if 205/40/17 tire will work fine on the 8" wide rims, cause I read some forums that it will look horrible because the tire will be stretched out, and it might blow up easily. please need help guys I really like the rims, its motegi lc5 4x100, 17x8 for only $300 (set) brand new. do you think its a good deal? or
let me know, Thanks!!!

Whoever told you that is full of ****, as long as it is within the manufacturers approved specifications you are fine. Will it be slightly easier to scratch your rim if you curb it? Yes. Will your tire look stretched on a VW ghey? No. Will your tire be prone to spontaneous explosions? Absolutely not, unless you stick explosives in it. Sounds to me like someone with serious cranial-rectal inversion disorder was giving you advice.

I find nothing wrong with making people earn their paycheck lol, but it will be a PITA for them. At the same time, I can't see any tire being as difficult to mount as the RE070s on my STi were, I swear it took the guys at Discount almost 3 hours to get them done from the time my car went up on the lift........
