Unless you're DIE HARD into putting a tach ( I'm guessing it's a 12" monsterrrr tach )

I'd just switch a guage cluster in from a compatible vehicle with a tach built in.

This is how you install the Autometer tach, but it should go the same for you...

Red wire - Power (battery, fuse box, head unit, etc..)

Green wire - To the solid blue wire on the dizzy.

Black wire - Ground (self explanitory)

Blue wire - For a 4cyl you should cut the blue wire and cap it off.

White wire - This one is for illumination.

Hope this helps, in the meantime i'll find you a better diagram. I also want to CONFIRM what I typed because I havent done this since my ricer stage years ago in high school. Good luck!

Another good way is to run the power, illumination, and dizzy signal from the back of the gauge cluster. you can basicaly hook up a tach without getting under the hood.

Finally.... http://www.AutoMeter.com will have instructions for installation and a wiring diagram AS WELL as a FAQ for troubleshooting. Here's the troubleshooting link..

Good luck man! Its pretty simple to do and for instance...if you've ever installed a head unit, or other basic electronics this should be a walk in the park for you.

Thats what some of us are here for. Glad I could be of help.

Sooo, since you got it for free...are you going to attempt to install it, or are you going to say "screw it", and sell it? Just curious because I don't want you to sell it thinking installation is difficult or anything. You'll see when you go to install, its very easy and doesn't take much time at all.
