Depending on the car, there is usually a separate fuse for the guage lights...

Hey, I forgot to ask. Did you recently install a cd player or anything electrical?

Have the same issue on Stephanie's old SFWD 2000 SI.
I put a uncut engine harness and a uncut dash harness in the car, because someone else hacked it all up. But for some reason the Guage cluster light will not work.
When I plug a dimmer in.......smoke comes out then the fuse blows.

Possibly the three OLD dimmers I had were all bad???????

Maybe something in the Cluster is shorted....causing it to burn up dimmers???
It would not surprise me considering the hackjob dash harness that WAS in it.

This car only has 40,000 miles on it so I would like to keep an ACCURATE cluster in the car

This car is for sale BTW, PM for details.

oh man thanks for the offer but i ran out this morning and got a new 7.5amp fuse and replaced that in my fuse box and now they work....but i was wondering is there anyway to tell how accurate the needles are? or get them redone to be more accurate or do u need just to go get a whole new cluster?

hey guys I have a similar problem,

just bought a 94 Si and the inspection failed because of the same thing w/ the cluster & a/c lights...

except: Everything went back to normal when it was freezing cold, then the lights went dead again after ~10 minutes of driving.

Question: is it a loose connection? if so, where would it be? any help would be appreciated, thanks
