Default BOSE audio

Anybody not satisfied with the stock audio system? Because I hate the little sub in the spare tire. Anybody know how to make it "bump" more?

honestly, i think the sound system is great for a car of this price. dont expect great quality sound from ANY car audio system. because when u travel at say 70 mph, you will hear your front speakers before your rear ones, so sound will be distorted. also, the only place to get the perfect sound in your car would be to sit directly in the middle of all the speakers and thats sometime almost impossible to do if youre driving it.

its got a nice balance between the high's and low's. there is also detail in the music that you normally dont hear. the mids are a bit recessed. anyways, if you like a sound system with an overbearing base, either go get something aftermarket or do the wire switch that will make it "bump" slightly more. i dont know how people can sit and listen to soo much bass though. its kind of like taking a bass drum and beating on it while u listen to your music.

also, you wont really find a woofer thats comparable to that of home audio. all the sound systems ive heard from JL audio to focal havnt had that punchy bass that i enjoy.

i hated my stock sound. what it really lacked was bass. so i put in a 12 inch alpine type r with a 600 watt alpine amp. and it hits really clean. really bassy but its very clean hit.

Anyone ever listened to the Bose Wave radio or the Bose IPod sound dock? The system in the RSX reminds me of this in the way that the sound is clear and does not distort that much, even at high volumes. Bass is punchy and not boomy, as with thise two systems. Not their best stuff, but it is only a 25K car.

For anyone who had an old Integra, the system in the RSX-S is so much better its laughable.

And I thought the reversed wire trick only worked for the 02-03 RSX-S and not the later ones.

I used to have a Gti 1.8t and it had a monsoon system in it stock. i can honestly say the it was at least twice as better as the RSX bose and it had no sub. The bose is really clear but it does lack a bit of the bass.

There is like a 25 page thread on clubrsx, but it is so full of conflicting information it isn't funny.

I've been waiting for someone to post something on here, with a pic or two and simple explanation. I'll put it in the FAQ if anyone does this
