hey folks
I'm need help removing the coolant pipe from behind the water pump housing at the back of the engine. I've removed everything but the pipe doesnt come out when i thug on it. Do i have to remove the water pump and is there a connection to be freed inside the water pump housing?
someone please help!

 

WoW what a blast from the past; there is a 10mm bolt along the back of the block that goes into a 'strap' that goes around the pipe, then what holds it into the actual back side of the waterpump area is just the 'O'ring. But over the years that 'O'ring gets rock hard and has crud built up around it so it sometimes needs a sharp tug to get it out.
I'm assuming you've gotten everything out of the way on the T-stat end of the pipe.
No you don't need to remove the water pump and there is nothing inside the water pump area holding the pipe in there.

 

There is no strap visible so therefore it just needs a sharp thug. Thanks alot i'll try that and post the results.

 

I found the strap u mentioned and removed the bolt etc. however, the pipe just wont come out. i was forced to leave it in and sure-up the o-ring in there. so i'll have to live wih a small leak until i can take it to th dealership. thaks for your help man.
