Default Planning on selling my Integra

Well, after 12 years I'm finally ready to let go of my Integra. It's a 1995 GS-R coupe with about 69K miles on it. Aside from a short ram intake, axle back exhaust and an Alpine/Infinity sound system, it's pretty much stock. (although I still have all of the OEM parts in the closet). Mechanically, it's in perfect condition, but the paint on the hood, roof and hatch are almost completely cooked off by the hot Florida sun. There are also a few dings and some scratches from Hurricane Wilma that blew thru my area a couple years ago. What do you think I could sell her for?

There's nothing wrong with the car, but I'm a lot older now and needed a 4 door car, so I stepped up to a 2006 Lexus IS350.

You've had it since it was new. In one week, I will have had my 97 GSR for 10 years.

congras on the lexus....i would recommend putting everything back to stock, and see if you can get a good buff job to pull the color back out of the faded areas...if not get an estimate to see how much a good paint job w/ color match would be for just the problem areas....then sell the car as stock, and pawn off the aftermarket mods on ebay...that should get you the max amount of money IMO

I would like a newer 4-door car as well, but I still want a manual tranny. Acura TSX w/ 6-speed would fit the bill nicely... if I could afford one.

I'd also want to keep my car to autocross it or whatever, rebuild it, etc.

Yeah, because I was always paranoid to drive her to shady areas and malls, with all these "my Integra just got stolen" threads you read about here, so I would drive around my beater pick up on weekends.

I do miss the manual tranny. That's why sometimes I still hop into the Integra and take her out for a drive. The IS250 was available with a 6 speed manual, but with only 200 horsepower, I didn't feel like it was much of a step up from the GS-R.

Unfortunately, the paint is well beyond a simple buff job at this point. I got a quote from a local body shop about a year ago, and he said he would pull all the dings and repaint the car for about $1500.00. He painted one of the quarter panels that someone keyed before, so I've seen his work.

Too bad you're not down here. I'd probably give you a good deal on it.

I paid a little over $20K for it back in November 1994.
