Default JDM vtec solinoids have no pressure switch... question

so jdm vtec solinoids dont have a pressure switch so my question is I have a usdm ecu is it going to just throw a code then? right now i have a jdm in car harness and a jdm engine harness. My ecu that im currently running is a obd 2 jdm ecu so im not getting a code for the vtec solinoid. but my car is a obd 1 so its throwing a code for secondary o2 sensor. I want to connect my old obd1 ecu but i need a harness but wont it throw a code since its a usdm ecu for the vtec solinoid not being plugged in?

please help

yes it will throw a code because there is not pressure switch plugged in

your best option would be to get a usdm vtec solenoid or get your ecu chipped so it wont check for the vtec pressure switch

your other option is to get a Chipped OBD1 ECU (which you will have to do anyway if youre seriously wanting some performance out of your car) You can disable the vtec pressure switch via the ECU

Not really...And youre going to have to do it regardless at some point if you do any major modification to the car (Cams, Turbo, Bottom End building)
