Default HELP IN CENTRAL FLORIDA!

I have a drivers side motor mount that is constantly rocking around and moving, I can feel it when I hit bumps and I've gone through like 5 drivers side axles since my b16 swap. Every shop I take it to tells me that some movement is normal, but since I am running solid motor mounts I think that's probably the cause of my axle breakage and the feeling of something bouncing around when I hit a bump.

What I need help with, is a shop in Central Florida, or really anywhere in Florida that has experience with swapped EFs and that I can trust to resolve my issue before it costs me anymore money.

SUGGESTIONS, PLEASE!

p.s. The problem is not the mount itself, I had the same experience with my hasports mounts that I sold and with the new ones (Innovative).

Why don't you sell the innovative mounts and put back Hasports? And what driving conditions are you breaking axles under?

<-- In CFL every other weekend.

I'll bet you he's running the wrong axle setup.

What tranny do you have and what axles did you instal?

I have the right axles, but I am driving on some shitty dirt roads that cause the car to bounce around quite a bit. Did either of you have the name of a shop?

Oh, and the Innovatives are noticeably smother than the Hasport mounts when it comes to vibration.

Also, my passenger side axle has been the same through like 4 drivers side replacements, so it's not how I'm driving. I baby the **** out of my car because I know there's something wrong.

So I know there must be some shops in Florida that specialize or have a lot of experience with EFs.

Anyone got any ideas?

did you take the dust sheild out of the steering knuckle?

If not that can cause your axels to bind up and eventually break.

Check all your nuts and bolts make sure that they are all tight?

Yes yes, I've checked EVERYTHING. The dust shield is off, there's no axle binding. The drivers sound mount has considerable movement, despite having the nuts and bolts tightened. It just doesn't fit right.

Sometimes you have to sacrifice a little comfort for a decent life span in a component. Do you like in Polk county, or deep Osceola, those are the only place I can think of that have dirt roads in such disrepair that they would be owning you. In Kissimmee, I can occasionally find the energy to go a wee bit off rally style racing on my friends farm and no problems here

Like I said, the hasports had the exact same issue and I just recently switched to Innovative mounts. The hasports fit exactly the same. I can feel my engine bouncing around when I hit a bump, and I can feel a huge lurching sensation when I shift. It's been that way since I had the hasport mounts.. Do you know any reputable shops in this area?

Yeah, this is an ongoing issue since before I switched from Hasport to Innovative. I actually switched because I thought the hasport mount had somehow broken and that was causing my problem. But the Innovative fits just as loose and vibrates around like a ************. I'm talking really damn lose, despite having tightened everything possible.

What's CFT?

I was actually considering using washers placed flush with mount bushing on the inside to make it fit tighter. Unfortunately I don't have any tools at my disposal and I have limited technical expertise..

My bad, it is the driver's side. I clarified that in the original post.

hmm....initially i assumed that the mount bracket must have gotten jacked up and widened during a swap....but now i'm thinking that tightening the bolt would close up any gap that might exist

so is the engine moving up & down on the driver's side? like the bolt hole itself got bored out?? have you watched the motor while a friend mashes the gas once or twice?

Actually I just lowered the idle down to the point that the motor was stuttering a bit and I could see the mount moving around. I know the problem is the mount bracket, I just don't know how to fix it.. I tried tightening the bolt but that did very little.

PMed.. Come on people, I have yet to even see someone mention a shop. Honestly, anywhere in Florida is fine as long as they're skilled and reputable.

Like I said, I was breaking axles before the innovative mounts. Thanks a lot for the suggestions though!
