Default 2 Clutch Master Cylinders + Low Pedal Engagement Point = No Drive K24a2 EK Hatch

It seems that I am having a serious issue with my clutch master/slave/pedal.

First problem is that I have gone through 2 clutch master cylinders which makes no sense at all....They just blow out on me for some reason.

I bought a new slave cylinder from honda and that hasn't started leaking yet.

And my final problem is the fact that the pedal engagement point is very low.

I checked the pressure plate already and everything seems to me fine. I have a hybrid-racing clutch line, OEM Slave cylinder, and OEM Master Cylinder.

Well I went out and got a new Clutch Master Cylinder to give it another go but I don't want to do anything this time before I get input.

My car used to be an automatic does that have any bearing?

One more thing the pedal when it is pressed down kinda jerks on the Master Cylinder from the outside firewall shouldn't everything be stiff and not moving when you press on the pedal? I screwed both bolts VERY TIGHT and the MC still has movement that makes no sense either....

Please help so I can get this Beast on the Road!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have also done searches and read numerous articles already. But it doesn't feel like I am getting anything new....

have you tried using an oem master cylinder from honda?

as for the clutch engagement cant you make an adjustment on the plunger of the master cylinder. someone could correct me on this or inform me.

Currently I am using an OEM one from Honda, and the clutch pedal engagement point is set at the highest setting so its sitting furthest towards my foot because if I set it any lower the clutch pedal would be even closer to the floor board.

maybe the lines you use are giving you trouble.

It's a brand new Hybrid-Racing clutch line, not only that but there is no indication of leaks or anything like that coming from the line....

Should I change it out and use my OEM one then?

The rod on that master is adjustable...but it really only has one proper adjustment. There should be about 1/8" of play at the the top of the throw. Just a little wiggle room before it starts to press in on the piston in the master. ANY other adjustment can cause exactly what you are decribing. Check that adjustment before anything else. Alot of times the rod will get screwed way down shorter to fit into the bag from honda. If that is correct, I would verify that niether one of the ears os broken off of the throw out bearing...this can cause this problem to because the slave acually has to move further to release the clutch. You should also check to make sure that the fork is in it's proper place. sometimes the wire clip that holds in onto the pivot ball gets bent andit doesn't hold it centered.

Ears on the bearing are good, the fork is in the right place and I know this because I just installed the clutch fork bolt (which was missing).

The pressure plate was good.

The only other thing is when you install the pedal do you install with the fire mat on the floorboard or do you need to move that out of the way?

Other inputs?!

Will even the smallest leak hinder the pedal resistance?

How tight are you supposed to connect the lines to the slave/CMC?

I'm not sure where you adjusted it, but there's a nut on top of the pedal to adjust it..did you use that?

that point would only adjust the free play in the pedal itself, and not fix the engagement point.

Alright guys I figured it out.

The line going into the CMC was leaking and now it works like a charm!

Time to get this beast on the road.
