Default Crazy Electrical Problem!!!

I have a 97 Accord...F22B2...

Well... I just removed my intake manifold to clean er up a bit since she hasn't seen the light of day in 10 years... 220k miles... I was getting a insuf. flow for the EGR... so I cleaned it up. the whole intake and everything... it was caked pretty bad... had to take a drill to some of it... haha ..

Well.. I'm not quite sure.. but I pretty sure I got the wiring back together in the correct way. There are 2 identical connectors that go into the throttle body(Idle Air and whatever else that is...) and the two on the back of the manifold.. (well the top part.. can't think of its name...) after getting it all back together, new gaskets, cleaned and bolted back ... i cranked er up and it ran smooth.. the check engine light came back on again... so I just laughed... but then after driving it for a few mins it begain to disengage the transmission.. and did it erradicly... it got to the point if I drove at 40mph and then pressed a little to much on the gas.. it would start bogging again... the check engine light and the Drive(D) light would go off... no blinking patters or anything to signify a code.. but just erractic blinking like it was losing power...

I don't know if this is a short, or if its because I connected the wiring back wrong... just wondering if you guys have any answers... its to late to go run the check engine at autozone.. and i tried the wire test under the dash.. nothing blinked..

Tomorrow I will get up and recheck the wiring to see if it is correct.. but untill then.. ill just see what you guys have to say... thanks!

check the wiring and make sure you put that mani back on right.
The wires may fit but they won't look right. Honda always has neat clean wiring. So if it looks out of place or messy then something wasn't done right.
What did you drill?

it might help you get better information if you could say what the wire colors are on the 'plugs' in question.
I'm having a hard time believing you removed the entire intake to clean EGR ports.

The EGR Ports and everything was completely cloged. I could have cleaned it and just scraped all that crap into my intake, then let all that carbon build up sit or flow into my engine... then probably just get back into my intake cloging my EGR again... that would be the smartest thing right?? I'm talking bullet sized clogs on those ports... yeah.... boo diggity... i like spegetti...

I had to take a drill to those holes... it look like starbucks espresso ground coffee.. and if you've seen that coffee.... you know it fine... I coulda took that stuff in my cappochino machine and brew me up a nice latte... a lil extra whip... and a nice drizzle of oil(cuz it looks like chocolate syrup when its never been changed for 5000+ miles)...

Maybe i should pour that mixture right into my egr.... maybe it will fix that insuf. flow error im getting... yeah....

ya it turned out when we reinstalled the intake we forgot a loose wire on the right side of the intake manifold where all the vaccum lines connect.
