I was wondering what is the code of my engine...DOHC 1.6L non-vtec.
is it D16B or something?
I own a 93 Civic Si in Sydney, and i know its different in the states. What engine u use for a 93 Civic Si?

well here the 92-95 si was a sohc vtec motor and the code was d16z6. the non-vtec motors here from 92-95 were 1.5's i think those had a d15b engine code not sure on that though.

 

are you sure it is dohc? Only motor that comes to mind in a 1.6 l non VTEC is the ZC motor. AFter that the non VTEC's were all 1.8l

 

Yeh...its a DOHC 1.6L non VTEC...it came out in Aust from (91-93 i think) for Si model...then in 94 they had the SOHC 1.6L VTEC

so is 1.6l DOHC non-VTEC code is ZC?

 

91-92 they changed body styles in the US. in the Japanese 88-91 Civic (EF) they used the 1.6l DOHC motor called a ZC. had about 130 hp. SHoudl see a stamp in the block near the tranny that says ZC if that is what it is.
