Default Clutch horse power rating?

Does anyone know how much horse power a stock 93 accord clutch will how before it slips because of sheer power?

Why? How much you got?
It's really a matter of the clamping force of the pressure plate; but the clutch disc itself needs to be good friction material.

Clutches are generally rated for torque, not horsepower. They kinda don't care what RPM they're spinning, but they DO slip or fail based on how much torque they're transmitting.

Having said that, I don't know the answer - how much torque it can handle.

Not sure... but I think OEM clutches aren't rated for any power over 230ls or 240ls of torque. Again not sure... I saw something about these numbers a few months ago.

yeah I am a little weary of 17:1 since 13:1 is high for pump gas.

But the accord clutch is the same as the h22. and people are running tons of hp and tq on stock clutch. honestly as long as you are n/a I think you will be fine.

When you start getting high hp/tq slicks and high rpm launches you might have a problem.

What pistons do you plan on using?
