I have had trouble removing the timing belt pulley before and i dont want to damage the crankshaft. what do yall recommend doing to get that woodruff out of the balance shaft and timing belt pulleys.

and i never found anything in the H23 Vtec FAQ page

 

wait, the crank pulley is stuck on, or the balance shaft timing pulley is stuck on?

 

dont know yet... the balance shaft pulley and timing belt pulley were a pain to get off the old motor. The woodruff got stuck... is there any way to avoid that and make it easier to remove the pulleys?

 

heat up the pulley, not the woodruff key, should expand enough to slide out easier

spray it with penetrating oil, that helps alot. I had the same problem on a different engine and I tried heating it and it didnt expand enough to help, but the penetrating oil made it slide out, GL
