k20Z valvetrain need ideas
so i decided to take a loan out and heres whats up
im looking into upgrading my valve train with springs, retainers and cam shafts
id really like to use skunk2 products for all three but it seems they only have things for the K20A and nothing listed for the K20Z, now do you guys think the ones designed for the A head wouldbe okay for the Z head? what would you do.
I may use IPS K2's if i can find a place that sells them, so far online here i cant find one place. and it be nice because they have a bundle pakage on kpro and the k2's for 2000$ but they dont actually have a place that you can buy them ( that i can find)
ifi dont get the K2's i found on Clubrsx they have great Crower stuff
i know Crower uses a different material than other manufactuers is it still as strong and as good? and is Crower a stong company to trust? because i can get the three for about 1200$
what do you guys think would be the best route
Ps. im not usually in the "all motor" forum so go easy on me......i know how d-rob likes to go on a killing spree lol

look into the Supertech Performance valvetrain options.
we're using them in all motor and turbo applications for the K20 heads with great success. I know alot of serious setups using Supertech on their K20s also.

All IPS cams are now being made specifically out of 8620 so the price has been bumped up. I would e-mail edo @ intrinsicperformance.com for more info, and just do a search on k20a.org for more info.

importbuilders.com is supposed to have a bad *** valvetrain too.
they're also in the works of including lash locks in their valvetrain package to just about completely eliminate valves dropping

ask any pro-racer if they would put Skunk2, Buddy Club, on their race motors, I highly doubt it. I would never put any of those valvetrains on any of our race motors thats for sure.
Supertech is in the level of Ferrea, if youve heard of that name. We use Supertech on big hp Supra motors as well. Not sure if you're familiar with the Drag racing scene, but Justin Humphreys Lexus GS drag car with the 2JZ motor doing 7s is on Supertech.
