ek sunroof noise

ek sunroof noise
sunroof works fine ... opens and closes perfect, but when it is closed the glass is rattling . when i reach up and push the rattle stops, but its getting really annoying. has anyone had this problem before and / or fixed it. thanks

rattle or a squeak? Squeaks are normal and there was actually a recall/fix for that from the dealerships. They did one on my Si. They installed some bullshit teflon tape stuff that made the squeak go away.

any more info? i searched all sunroof titles in this forum but none of the titles had anything near what im discribing unless i just overlooked it

i have no idea... i was just trying to throw something out... if i had a sunroof i would go out and check it real close. I've read something about screws or bolts for the sunroof track.... but maybe that was for my Legend.... so i'm not sure myself...

if its making a thud its obviously loose or not on the track i mean i dont have a sunroof but as you describe it.. you should check the screws on it thats all i got to say

my friend had a similar issue with his 'lude so we just remove the sunroof made sure everything was tight and reasembled... the noise went away almost all the way... he said that that was as good as it was going to get because the tracks and sliders just wear out...
just take it apart and tighten and lube up everything and throw it back together... you that could be the problem or you might find something when you take it apart... either way you should just take it apart and clean/tighten/lube it, unless your mechanically retarded in which case your Q? is pointless... but seriously go for it with a friend and give yourself a slap on the back when you conquer all that is sunroof!
