ITR cams
ITR intake manifold
dual valve springs and retainers
type r valves
ds 4-2-1

Should be working if you have no CEL showing up.

Install a light on the vtec trip wire.....given thats not 100%, but its 98% proof positive that if the ECU sends that signal, it will engage. Chances are its engaging though.

One more thing... If you're low on oil, vtec won't engage so check that first.

If you're low on "oil pressure" then it wont engage.....low oil has nothing to do with it. I've been 3.5qts low and the **** still engaged just fine. Either way, vtec is A4 on the ecu pinout.

How the hell can you measure vtec with a micrometer?

Well, you see.....you put the micrometer on the vtec wire....then when it pops the wire expands double the size.....

If you have an oil pressure guage you can hook that up to... hmm damn where did I do it on mine again. Fack. Anyway where it a location on or near the solenoid you can tap into and when you get to vtec crossover you'll notice the oil pressure guage spike up. Should give a definite sign it's working. That and you should hear the cross over too.

just realised today that when i first turn on the car and let it warm up a little vtec pops fine, but after i drive it for a bit it wont pop anymore. dont know what it could be. only have 1 CEL according to the guy who put it all together for me which he also told is due to the fact that he couldn't get the O2 off my stock headers so he used one that was bad to plug up the bung. u think maybe a CEL is turning up after driving the and its going ino linp mode, if not what else could it be?
