so you're too lazy to copy/paste all that info from the other forum yet you're not that lazy to post two different threads about the same thing? i guess....

anyways, i have an extra center console if you are local but i doubt it. hit up the junkyards for the stuff you're missing. i just picked up an Si gauge cluster for $27 at the ecology by where i live.

i could copy/paste but then it would not have the pictures i posted there. i figured since i would have to post the picture link, why not just the whole thing, would make it easier if i were trying to read instead of having to go back and forth between 2 forums. anyway im in orange county area how local is that?

If you go to "edit" in your original post on that other forum, it should have the links for the pics instead of the pic itself. That's what you should copy/paste.

I'm about an hour and a half south of you. If you want to come down and get the center console (I also have an extra pair of the side pieces that hold the Cargo cover), you're more than welcome to. IM me for details. Otherwise, I think there is an Ecology not too far from you near Stanton or something.

You should post pics of the engine. Your car is an STD model. You can tell by the vinyl seats, the black (instead of red) bar between the tail lights, and a couple other small things.

However, they only came with 4 speed trannys and 68ish horsepower motors. Not very fast, but not as slow as you'd think.

Both the STD and the DX came with a semi-crappy fuel injection that would need rewiring before an engine swap. (You might already have an engine swap, but if it got smogged easily, probably not)

Anyways, get back to us.

I'm sorry, but you didn't listen to me. All of them (in america) have fuel injection. There's different kinds.

Transmissions can be changed. I said that in my other post. There's a much higher chance of a 5 speed put in your car than someone swapping different door panels, seats, and trim pieces over.

Anyway, sorry for being rude, but I try to be clear with what I say so that people will be able to read it. Not that I'm perfect, but let's just say I don't think I'm going to bother continuing watching this thread.

hmm... nope you said nothing like that huh? all you said was that they came with a 4 speed tranny and 68sh horsepower. if your gonna be a smart *** or a dick, at least read what you wrote before saying something else. and personlly with all of your "helpful input" i could care less if you watch this thread. enjoy wisconson.

Wow, you've got your work cut out for you. For your tach, you should get one out of a DX or Si in the meantime (DX if you're keeping the same engine), search around the marketplace here, you should be able to find one. You're also going to need a floor console, and you should be able to find one in blue pretty easily.

And don't hate on WI, Good Luck.

Shrug, you're right. I originally said it, but before I hit the 'post' button, I reformatted it so that it made better sense and was easy to read (people get pissed when someone refuses grammar and punctuation. Mistakes are one thing, ignorance about it is another) and I guess I accidentally deleted it. Oh well. It still should be common sense that a tranny can be changed. Calling STD's DX's is one of the things that bothers me. I don't normally care, but almost everyone does it. I know I said I probably wouldn't follow this, but I was bored, so I guess that's a victory for you.

I do *wink*. Actually, I think Madison is great. It's culture is kinda like a mini San Fransisco. Well, sorta.
