Default turn key and nada

So like my previous post i was in need of knowledge about ZC starters and them being interchangable with other D-series engines.

Well it wasn't my start to begin with seamingly.

I turn my key, everything comes on except for the starter, doesn't engage, click nothing, i can hold the key their all day and nothing happens.

Whats wrong with this gobbling filled car lol

Check your ignition relay underneath the hood...Then check all your grounds, make sure they are connected, espeacially the one on the transmission under the Dizzy..Make sure ur battery is good too..Good luck!

If you have a remote starter switch, you can hook that up directly to the starter solenoid, to test the starter. My best guess is that either your starter or starter solenoid are down for the count. I recently had to replace mine, and it behaved very similar to your's, before I changed it. I just got a rebuilt replacement. My car has about 213,000 on it, so I didn't feel it was unduly problamatic.

If you don't have a remote starter switch, just get a piece of wire about 2 ft long. You can hold one side to the positive terminal of the battery and the other end you touch the plug on the solenoid, where the starter wire normally attaches. It's just a blade type connector, which you disconnect, temporarily, to test the starter. Don't forget to reattach the wire when your done, or you can put yourself back to chasing your tale. BTDT

It's not the starter, i replaced it with a working one from my summer carand it still didn't do a thing.

I'm pretty sure it's the ignition switch, When i turn the key before their was a small delay before the starter would engage. Figure it was wearing itself out slowly. Ohwell we'll see what happens tonight with the pos lol
