my check engine light comes on in my car but only sometimes, it doesnt come on when i start it but once it warms up and im driving it will come on. then ill turn off the car then it wont coem back on? then i tryed jumping the ecu and i cant casue it wont stay on when the car is off what should i do and what do u think the problem is the car is a 1992 eg hatch with a b20vtec with type r head

 

is most likely you o2 sensor.. did you check the codes?

 

everthime i try to jsu tthe ecu it wont let me casue the light turns off when the car turns off and i went to advanced auto and they only have obd2 testers do u no another way, and soemone else to my the IACV could that be it

 

did you jump the service connector?

 

make sure all your plugs are on tight...maybe thats the reason it goes on and off...
