So is the lighting for retrofit not as bright as plug and plays or are they the same? I like your projectors... Where did you get them and how much? How much are the retrofits and are they the same as your regular HID bulb that you pick the temp?

you need a drop haha yea yea i know i know. just need to pay for school then i can save up again.

as for the other question, your correct. the light output of the HID's arent as good as projectors. I got them from a guy that i knew through friends. The xenons i have now are 4300k while the HIDs are 6000k. thats why theres a color diff. The price can vary widely. If you dont do it yourself, expect to spend around 600ish on them, maybe more. I know someone that can make one for you if youd like to know.

hows its going guys my name is Chris and i work for Advanced Automotive Concepts. AACstyle.com If you want real retrofits come to us. The projector that we would be putting in your car is the BMW E46 projector. With whatever Oracle HID kit you may want. depending on the color you are looking to get out of it. We will also do custom halos made from CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent lighting) that will stand extremely out and will give your car that one of a kind look.

An HID is the High Intensity Discharge light that you are looking for to get that high end lighting, and bright white, hyper blue, blue or purple visibility. A projector is going to be what is to control the light. Without a projector you are throwing out scatter light shot from a bulb and it doesnt do to well for you. The best way to go would be with the HIDs then the projector set up. No the projector headlights you buy off of ebay will not be the same. You get what you pay for, it will just take trial and error and wasted money on cheap things to figure that out.

The K=Kelvin level of an HID bulb is not going to tell the brightness of the light. it really depends on what look you are trying to achieve.

4500k brightest hyper white light. most visible lumens.
6000K the hyper blue effect still white with a hint of up-scale blue
8000K a little bit more blue than white
1000K purple
anything higher than that wont really get you the look you are going for.

Email me at jonestuner@yahoo.com for any further question
for parts from AAC email me at parts@aacstyle.com
or PM me for any further questions!

check out the site to see the real retrofitting work.

So, basically the projector that you have right now are the OEM housing of the headlight and you just inserted the projector there or is it an entirely different headlight?

Probably, but that is one of the ugliest sets of projector headlights that I've ever seen. It's a Civic... why does one feel the need to try and copy a BMW?
